A slow undulating start for the first 15km....then a patch of Roadworks. I had a chat with the Flagman who'd said they were expecting quite a few riders...but he hadn't seen any apart from me. .... We both came to the conclusion that most had gone through "out of normal working hours", or overnight.
I managed to score a private escort through the roadworks ... with a trail of 6 cars & a truck behind my escort.... those 2% climbs were slow going....2.5km, and done!... munchy time. Trail mix and Gatorade.... my staples - that work for me.
Health food for the hungry velo pilot, all my mates seated at the table with me ππ
Powering on to Bruce Rock....
Bruce Rock Caravan Park, camp kitchen all mine.... showered, scrubbed, fed & watered

Bruce Rock to Carrabin via Meredin for lunch
Burracoppin....where no South Sydney supporter is allowed to pass?
yeah right.. π€π―
41°C here, and a lovely headwind to Carrabin for the last 20km of the day....nice and cool in the Rotovelo π
Only a couple of grumpy motorists and truck drivers (horn blasting), who don't know the road rules about passing cyclists when the road ahead is clear, regardless of road markings.

Hi Mr Doble. I like your photos. Keep up the work. From William
ReplyDeleteG'day William, thank you for the encouragement. I'm having fun and totally enjoying each day.... every hour has different scenery even if a lot of it seems the same. πππ
